Saturday. 90 Sloane Street. Dearest Mother. Elsa is much better. She was very anxious to go to the Pop but I dissuaded her as she has really had a very bad cold.
Beatrice Chamberlain came to lunch and we went afterwards to the National Gallery which was very agreeable. We are both dining with the Creightons tonight.

We went to Mansfield Street after dinner yesterday to see Grandpapa who seems very flourishing. Sylvia is better, but they have given up the Roman plan as they think it wd be bad for her to travel so far. They are probably going to Cap Martin at Easter. Aunt Maisie is looking very fagged.

How exciting for you both to be settling down at Mentone today. I hope there's not fog!

Frollock has now written to say will I give him a choice of one or two afternoons before I go!

He is a bore! what can I do about him?

I'm dining with the Swonks[?] next Saturday! Ever your affectionate daughter Gertrude
