95 Sloane Street. Dearest Mother. I have left all directions about clothes for tonight with Aunt B. [Bessie[?]] Moll can wear anything that is short enough to skate in. I have also sent a ticket to Lisa and told her you are going. I have got with me two Haas-Nutt books, A France and another and two Grosvenor - the Story of a Minor Siege[?] and a novel.
What cold crossings we are going to have!
I wish I were going to see you! It seems very silly to bustle off, but my Roman time is cut so desperately short.
Don't catch cold! Ever your affectionate daughter Gertrude
Will you please tell Papa that the £1 I owe him for my gloves I have paid to my magic lantern man for my second lecture which I expect he wd give me.
