erekhot Shelomo. In valley 4 kilometres S of Bethlehem. Consisted of three large reservoirs (rock and stone built) fed by springs - this water was then carried to Jerusalem by an underground aqueduct. General view of exterior, showing Qa'lat el-Burak - square structure to NW of basin area, defended by towers, and used as a caranvaserai.
