Description

Tutaghash. Gertrude Bell's tent near village, Salih Beg, Zaiya - Gertrude Bell's gendarmes - and another man nearby. A Kurdish tent is not noted for its privacy. It has a black, goat?s hair cloth roof and sides of reed mats, completely transparent. Moreover the sides don?t reach up to the cloth roof; on the contrary theres a large gap between....I hung my bath towel from the roof as a curtain, and after all, privacy be blowed!.
